I think I've been blacklisted by Lady Luck recently. I keep having instances of bad luck especially where the weather and slippery floors are concerned.
1. Slippery floors
Yesterday I was doing math tut in the living room when I realised I needed my scientific calculator. I walked over to my room, where my mom was mopping the floor, and BAM! the next thing I knew I was on the floor. The best part is that when I picked my sore self off the floor, my scientific calculator WASN'T in the room. Instead it was lying innocently inside my school bag which was hiding itself in a corner of the living room. The worst part is that the ball of my foot (that part near the big toe) starting hurting when I put even the slightest pressure on it. How awesome is that?!
Today I nearly slipped in the bathroom. -.- honestly, how many times can this happen?
2. The weather
Has been totally KISIAO. Yesterday it rained in the morning so I decided that I would go jogging in the evening. So of course because of my fall, my foot was hurting but I decided to try jogging anyway. The moment I walked out onto the road towards the park, I could feel water droplets on my head. Apparently it's been raining all the while, just that I couldn't see it because the droplets were quite small. Pff..
This morning rain again. Woke up feeling freezing cold. The sky was so black and dark so I brought my jacket to school. 谁知道the morning sky was a bright blue without a single cloud at all. Never mind, I take it that it was a blessing in disguise because math lecture felt like Antarctica today. On the way home, at bukit timah it rained. By the time I was halfway across the expressway, it stopped raining. When I reached home, the scorching sun reigned once more. When I reached home the interesting thing was when I looked out of the balcony windows, it was sunny. Then when I looked out of the kitchen windows at the opposite end of the house, it was dark and gloomy. Predictably, it rained within half an hour and all my plans to run have been thwarted by the rain.
Anyways today has been a fairly interesting day xD A US lecturer came over to teach us about US politics during GP and what I can say is that US politicians seem fairly selfish and childish. Just cos the republicans want to win the next elections, they criticise the health reform bill so that the public will have a bad impression of it and not support the democrats. -.- I mean, how self-centered is that? But otherwise, US politics seems really complicated :X Kinda thankful Singapore's one isn't so mangled.
